Event
In 2005 the Deutsche Eislauf-Union chose Berlin, the capitol of Germany, as the venue for the first International Synchronized Skating Competition held in Germany. The first two competitions in January 2005 and 2006, respectively, were supported by more than 20 teams with about 500 skaters from 12 nations. The competitors of the „Cup of Berlin“ came from Sweden, Finland, United States, Canada, Russia, Switzerland, Italy, Czech Republic, France, Croatia, Poland and Germany.
